AUGUST SALE

I have decided to have monthly sales in my shop. To kick off this new promotion, I will be offering FREE envelopes made from handmade paper. They will come in a grey color.

Adding newpaper to paper pulp make the paper have a greyish tint to it. So, I have tried not to use it in my paper making. I still wanted to recycle the newpaper and have found a perfect way to do that....MAKE ENVELOPES.

ACEO cards

I woke up this morning with a bright idea. I love ACEO's, some of them are just amazing. So, as I was laying in bed, I thought how can I join those amazing ACEO artist....Duh, make pre-cut handmade paper cards!

Why have I not thought about this earlier??? Sometimes it's just like a light bulb coming on!

Levi turned 2

Yesterday was Levi's 2nd birthday. It was also the day of our county fair. I help organize the Relay for Life float every year. So this year, while on the float, I got a phone call. There was this horrible noise in the backround......

So the other day my 2 year old son put his hat on and came over to me and asked me to take a "pichure" This is how he posed... so cute!

Dear Snow,

The weatherman has told us that you will be joining us again tonight and into tomorrow. I would like to let you know that you are NOT WELCOME here anymore. Do you realize that it is April? The saying goes "April showers bring May flowers", NOT April snow!

You have hung around these parts for far to long. Don't you have anywhere else to go? We are sick of you. We would like to see some green grass and buds on the trees.

What about the poor birds??? You are screwing with them. How are the robins going to get worms if you are covering them? I think you are just being rude!

We are tired of being cooped up in the house and would like to open the windows without shivering!

Snow, please don't come. Please go find someone else to bug!!!

I was a contest winner!!!

Late one night I could not sleep. So, instead of cleaning or watching tv or doing something creative, I spent the rest of the night on Etsy. I found a thread called " EGCG Scavenger Hunt 2/11 - 2/16" and started looking for letters in their shops. I eventually found them all and after much rearranging of the letters and asking the BF when he got up to help, I (we.....well he) figured it out. Sent in my quess and WON!!

I am currently using a soap called Purple Rain made by MadCitySue.etsy.com. I can't find the exact soap in her store but it looks a little like this http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=10393911 . YUMMY! I am now hooked on handmade soap and will buy it only on etsy! (thanks alot madcitysue! lol)

There is more bar soap in the package, but there is one that I CAN'T WAIT to try from Pixiesoap.etsy.com. It's called Mint Chocolate Chunk - YES it smells like chocolate! Are you kidding me? Imagine in the shower! MMMMMMMMM lol http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=10396249 (here's that soap)

Pixiesoap also included a lip balm called bubblegum.....yep you guessed it! It tastes like bubblegum!

Then I have tried this body spray from domaly.etsy.com called Bartlett Pear Body Mist. Again Yummmy! Smells so good. Not overbearing at all! Very light and kinda fruity! I love it!

Will update on some creams in a couple days (they are upstairs and I don't want to go get them right now). This group of bath and body artists are very good at what they do so far. Have not run into anything I don't like yet. So thanks to Etsy Green and Clean Guild for a wonderful package!!!
